Complete Dental Implant Treatment San Jose
For Replacing One or More of Your Missing Teeth
Dental implants are the new standard for replacing missing teeth and is a procedure Dr. Heidari has performed may times. He is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and has years of experience helping people restore their smile and chewing ability with dental implants.
What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are synthetic substitutes that replace missing teeth right at their roots. The implant itself is typically made of a titanium alloy, but here in San Jose we also offer ceramic, metal-free dental implants. Dental implants come in a wide variety of sizes and shapes to fit any situation. In most cases, a cylinder is placed directly into the bone and then heals, all while the bone itself also heals around it, locking it in firmly. After a bit of time passes, that implant is then used as a foundation for a dental crown.
Why Would I Need A Dental Implant?
Unlike dentures or bridges which are a temporary tooth replacement option and can cause damage to the adjacent teeth, dental implants are a more permanent solution for tooth replacement. Having missing teeth can not only be embarrassing, but missing teeth can cause bone loss and deterioration in the bone structure of your face.
Implant Retained Dentures
More than 30 million people across the U.S. have no teeth in at least one of their arches, and most of these people are unaware of the benefits of dental implants when it comes to securing their dentures.
Dentures that are placed over dental implants look, feel, and function more like your natural teeth. The denture is securely anchored to the implant without glue, which allows you to smile and chew just as you would with your natural teeth. When dentures are anchored to dental implants, they will not move and you’ll be able to chew normally.
Complimentary Consultation & 2nd Opinion
If you are in or around San Jose and have one or more missing teeth, call us today to schedule a complimentary consultation with Dr. Heidari.
Your initial consultation is free and consists a comprehensive exam that includes everything from looking at your teeth and gums, to your bite and smile. Before a dental implant treatment can be recommended, we want to know everything about the health and aesthetics of your teeth, and most importantly, what you want to achieve so that we can help you get there.
(NOTE: There may be a charge if x-rays are necessary. We encourage you to bring x-rays to your first visit if you have had them taken recently.)
